Our Family

Luke has been a mathematics educator in southeast Kansas since 2008. Alone with his two kids in 2021, he thought that Hinge was an app for conversations where he had only one, one amazing conversation with Carolyn, who had studied cognitive neuroscience and massage therapy. Their conversation centered around C.S. Lewis, psychology, Lord of the Rings, and Jesus. Luke deleted the app after that and Carolyn went on a string of terrible, terrible dates.

Carolyn & Luke were separately sitting in church when they both felt prompted to message each other on the same day in late May 2022. The conversation started again and between toilet paper falling the right way and talk of building a library with rolling ladders, they knew they'd found love.

 

Married in March 2023, they are very excited to build a family and build the perfect home for that family together.
